Flower Friday – Daffodil

Daffodils
This week, we’re highlighting daffodils. Known scientifically as Narcissus, these perennial flowering plants belong to the Amaryllidaceae family. With their trumpet-shaped corona and six tepals, daffodils offer a captivating display of symmetry and elegance.
These resilient flowers require minimal maintenance, eliminating the need for pruning or deadheading to stimulate continuous blooming. Not only that, but they are adaptable to both cold and hot climates, and are incredibly hardy, making them an ideal spring flower for Newfoundland’s climate.
Do you have any in your garden? They should be in full bloom right now, let us know in the comments!
